Ojibwe Culture and History

This is an overview of Ojibwe culture, history and traditions including philosophy, religion and lifestyle. The main method of instruction is instructor lectures, however the use of film and video and guest lecturers will also be included. Students are expected to participate in class discussions and conduct research for written reports. Lecture topics include the Ojibwe Creation story, the migration of the Ojibwe, the clan system and cultural celebrations.
